A native to Louisville, Kentucky and a United States Air Force Veteran, Arthur Cox has worked as Executive Director of St. George’s for over 15 years. In 2004, he led the successful organizational transformation from a recreational hangout into one of the premier educational after-school and summer program for youth in West Louisville, where it still thrives today. Arthur earned a Bachelors Degree in Sports Management from the University of Louisville. He has served as numerous youth development committees and coalitions within the community. He’s trained in Outcome Measurement, Youth Program Quality Assessment, University of Louisville CHAMPS Facilitation & 4 Your Child Fatherhood Facilitation. Arthur is a graduate of Focus Louisville. He has completed the Center for Non-Profit Excellence Emerging Leaders program and is a part of the 2015 Graduating class of the Leadership Network. He’s a part of the Executives Leadership Circle recognized by the Center for Non Profit Excellence. Prior to his role at St. George’s, Arthur worked with Youth Alive, YMCA, and The Louisville Youth Opportunity Network (LYON). Arthur is a home base business owner and empowers others to do the same. In his leisure time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his Fiance Sha’Da and his three beautiful children, Omari and Aniyah and Sha’Corey.

Bart Womack

Command Sergeant Major (CSM) retired Bart Womack, served the United States Army with distinction for over 29 years. His expertise and dedication to excellence contributed immeasurably to the security of our nation. Highlights of his distinguished career include Drill Sergeant, Ranger Instructor, Sergeant of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and dual roles as Commandant, and the 101st Airborne Division CSM. He’s a Combat War Veteran, with 2 Bronze Stars, one for valor, the Legion of Merit, and the Army Ranger Tab to name a few. Since retiring, Bart has become a resident of Pittsburgh, he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Park University, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Waynesburg University. He fulfills his passion for Veterans to succeed in civilian life through his role as the Program Manager of Onward to Opportunity-Pittsburgh, a program from the IVMF at Syracuse University. His selfless service continues as the Co-Founder, COO and Vice Chairman of the Armed Forces Equestrian Center (AFEC). AFEC is a nonprofit that provides Equine therapy for Veterans, military families and people with disabilities. Proudly adding the titles, published author and screenplay writer of ‘Embedded Enemy’ to his resume, Bart has appeared in TV spots, radio shows and interviews about his 5 Star Amazon book. To share lessons learned from the tragic incident, he speaks publicly on the topic of Situational Awareness Security. Blair Mickles

Raised in Rankin, PA, Blair is a U.S. Army Combat Veteran (Operation Enduring Freedom), having served from 2004 to 2015. A Certified Life Coach and advocate for those in need, she obtained her undergraduate degree in Social Science (concentration in Criminal Justice and Government) with a minor in Psychology from the University of Maryland University College. She is currently pursuing a more in-depth education in Social Work through the Master’s program in addition to Master’s in Public and International Affairs with a concentration in Human Security at the University of Pittsburgh. She looks forward to being more strategic and impactful while making positive changes in both her community and abroad. Blair has taken on community organizing roles by serving as a co-organizer of the Women’s March on Washington-Pittsburgh. She actively works to address a variety of social justice issues to include community violence, sexual violence, food security, immigrant and refugee rights and college access among underprivileged students. As an advocate for mental health, she is also certified in Mental Health First Aid and Psychological First Aid and has served as a volunteer trauma responder addressing the needs of survivors of gun violence. She still finds time to be a volunteer firefighter in Rankin, since 2002, while also fulfilling an internship at the Community Engagement Center in Homewood. She can also be found volunteering with the immigrant and refugee students as well as various veteran organizations in the area and across the country.

I am the oldest child from my parents I have 3 siblings and one of my siblings is apart of the BME already his name is DERRICK CLARK. We were born and raised on the east side of Pittsburgh. I was in the real estate business earlier in my life then I went into the club business in which I still do to this day. JaQuay Edward Carter

JaQuay Edward Carter was born to serve others. He has a long history of community service, military service, and human services advocacy. Upon graduation in the year 2000, he joined the United States Marine Corps – serving as a Logistics/Embarkation Specialist at Albany, Georgia. He was honorably discharged in 2002. JaQuay began his post-secondary education at the Community College of Allegheny County, later enrolling at the University of Pittsburgh – earning a bachelor’s degree in History Education/African-American Studies in 2008. He continued to serve his community, working full-time for the Corporation of National and Community Service as a KEYS AmeriCorps Service member at Propel Charter School in Homestead. JaQuay worked in the non-profit sector for the next few years at both the Garfield Jubilee Association’s YouthBuild program and the Thomas Merton Center in Pittsburgh’s East End neighborhood. More opportunities to volunteer his time and talent would follow, including a mentorship at Seeds of Hope Church and Earthen Vessels Outreach in 2012. He started to research the history of his beloved hometown of Hazelwood. Mr. Carter shared his wealth of knowledge on social media, where he quickly developed a large following. In 2018, JaQuay founded the award-winning Greater Hazelwood Historical Society of Pittsburgh, which was the recipient of a $25,000 grant from the Heinz Endowments. JaQuay is currently in pursuit of dual degrees in Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and Master of Science in Public Policy and Management (MSPPM) at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and Carnegie-Mellon University.

Kelvin acquired his JD/MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, specializing in international and public policy. Having served in the Military and a plethora of board leadership positions, he developed uncanny adaptive thinking and a capacity and passion for continuing to learn. Kelvin enjoys immersing himself into new cultures/countries and participating in various adventurous outdoor activities. Kelvin believes that people are the most valuable resource, and therefore creating that interpersonal relationship is vital for flourishment in organizations. Over the past decade he has taught in Pittsburgh Public School, volunteered to read and speak to elementary schools and mentor youth. He believes these fundamental steps provide the additional male presence, support and development some students lack to solidify direction in his community. He is the founder of The Kelvin Isom II Impact ScholarshipFund as well held event seminars geared toward financial budgeting, family investments and general financial literacy advice as millennial’s and young families. He will strive to develop a program that facilitates and educates impoverished and underrepresented communities with legal and financial subjects as it relates to long term sustainability. Sheena Hancock is the owner and lead designer at Sheena Hancock Interior Creations also known as SHIC. She is a wife, mother, and native of Pittsburgh, PA who’ve always had a genuine passion for interior design. Over a period of 16 years, Sheena would often take on small residential decorating projects for family and friends. During this time, she also served in the U.S. Air Force and earned a Bachelors in Sociology from Carlow University and a Masters of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. Sheena has worked in a variety of fields ranging from law enforcement to life insurance. However; after five successful years in the insurance business; Sheena still felt a lack of fulfillment in her daily work. Always being mindful of her love for interior design and natural eye for style; Sheena sought out to become certified in interior design and decided to leave the corporate industry for good. In November 2017, SHIC was founded. To date, Sheena has designed and decorated several residential and commercial projects in the Pittsburgh area. She is dedicated to bringing an innovative passion, hands on focus and deliver the highest standards of excellence to every project. Terri Williams was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Ms. Williams graduated from Turtle Creek High School and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1985 and retired in June 2008. While enlisted in the United States Navy her duty stations included: boot camp at Recruit Training Command in Orlando, Florida; HELSUPPRON ONE in San Diego, California; Naval Air Station, Guam; Naval Support Facility, Diego Garcia; Fleet Composite Six, Virginia; and Fleet Aviation Specialized Operational Training Group (Atlantic), Virginia. In May 1998, she was commissioned an Ensign, Medical Service Corps (Health Care Administration). As a commissioned officer she was assigned to duty stations at Bethesda, Maryland; Okinawa, Japan; and Naval Operational Support Center, Pennsylvania where she was responsible for instructing and assisting Marine and Navy reserve units to maintain a continuous state of readiness for mobilization; inspect and render technical advice to those units in command functions including administration, logistical support, and public affairs; and execute such collateral functions as directed by higher authority. She retired after 23 years of service. Ms. Williams received her Master of Science in Health Sciences, Health Care Management graduating Magna Cum Laude from Touro University International, a Master of Education from Troy State University and Principal’s Certification from Point Park University, a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Saint Leo College. Williams is currently the Director of Operation and Innovation at Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship. Her extensive experience includes alternative education, recovery support, socio-economically deprived public schools and restorative practices.
