Gabriela works as a freelance consultant and a full-time day trader. She previously worked as a systems specialist for Johns Hopkins Health System in Baltimore, MD. In that role, she worked to improve the hospital’s repository of policies, procedures, regulatory and compliance documents. While a graduate student, Gabriela served as an administrative intern for the Vice President of support services at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. In her spare time, Gabriela serves as a volunteer mentor and a member of the program committee for Warrior Women Against Poverty, a Detroit nonprofit focused on stabilizing and transforming the lives of homeless women with children. She sits on the board of directors as the chair for the core engagement committee. She is an active member of the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE) and served as the co-chair for the women’s forum and summer internship program. The Detroit native is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys public speaking and has presented at local and national conferences. Gabriela has a passion for community health. Her long-term goal is to own and manage multilingual community health clinics that offer holistic health care services to those in need, while promoting health policy initiatives that impact black and brown families nationwide. Gabriela earned her bachelor of science degree in psychology, with a minor in Latino studies, from Wayne State University in Detroit. She received her Master’s of Public Administration in Healthcare from Oakland University in Rochester Hills, MI.

Gordon Manker

Gordon Manker is currently employed at the Wilkinsburg Community Development Corporation in the position of Business Development Specialist and holds the designation of Certified Economic Development Finance Professional and Accredited Small Business Consultant. He joined WCDC in 2015 to coordinate the small business program and assist with their Green Clean and Safe initiatives. He is also certified to teach the CORE FOUR business planning platform and has trained over 100 people in the area of entrepreneur and small business ownership. In addition, Gordon Manker owns his own credit repair business. He has a passion for helping people in the area of entrepreneurship and financial literacy with the understanding that both can be keys to a better future. In his current position, he consults with individuals in all stages of business; from start-ups to existing business owners in the areas of marketing, cash flow and operations. Gordon was born in Pittsburgh, PA, to Charles Manker and Carolyn Manker (Parker). He was educated in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. He retired from the U.S military, where he held several specialties, after serving 29 years. He received his BS degree in Organizational Leadership from Robert Morris University. Gordon Manker is married to Gail Manker. They have no children. He is very active in his religious organization the Ausar Auset Society, a Pan African religious organization. Gordon Manker currently serves on two Boards: Wilkinsburg Chamber of Commerce, Pittsburgh Community Reinvestment Group. He is Past Chair for Hope For Tomorrow Inc. In addition, he is a member of Golden Star Lodge #143, Most Worshipful Prince Hall of Pa and St. Cyprian Consistory #4. He currently serves as Worshipful District Deputy Grand Master for the 7th masonic District of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Pa.
