Kathryn Hall-Trujillo

For over thirty years, as a public health administrator, community health educator and advocate in the public and private sectors, Ms. Hall-Trujillo has been addressing the racial and gender divide in women’s access to healthcare. Her work has culminated in Birthing Project USA: The Underground Railroad for New Life, which is a global maternal and child health organization. Her experience in understanding, translating and bridging policy, administration, services delivery and client cultures have earned her national and international recognition, including CNN Hero and one of Twenty One Leaders of the 21st Century by Women E-news. Ms. Hall-Trujillo has received the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Public Health Life Time Achievement Award and is an Ashoka Global Social Entrepreneur Fellow. She is an Independent Scholar of the Cuba Public Health System and serves on the Medical Advisory Board of IFCO, the administrator of the US Cuba Medical School Scholarship Program. She served as Ashoka Fellow in Residence for Tulane University; co-directed the development of the Public Health Leadership Program for the University of San Francisco Sacramento campus; serves as faculty at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and is visiting professor at the Cuba National School of Public Health. She is a consultant and mentor to many community leaders, students and young professionals, to whom she is affectionately know as Mama Katt.

Kelly Davis

Kelly Davis, MPA is the inaugural Director of the Equity and Innovation Unit within the Bureau of Maternal, Infant and Reproductive Health at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH). In this role, Ms. Davis is responsible for identifying gaps in public health efforts to reduce racial and ethnic disparities in maternal, infant and reproductive health, incubating new initiatives, and supporting anti-racist policy and advocacy strategies. During her tenure at DOHMH, Ms. Davis has led healthy eating and active living initiatives and served as one of the founding members of the Center for Health Equity, where she conceptualized the Family Wellness Suites, community respite and healing spaces for parents and children. Ms. Davis has spearheaded planning, implementation and oversight of several special initiatives, including the City’s first HIV public awareness campaign totally focused on women. Her most recent work includes a severe maternal morbidity/maternal mortality initiative supporting 14 maternity hospitals in a long-term institutional transformation process that addresses structural racism, bias, resilience, and trauma-informed care. Ms. Davis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University, where her senior thesis explored how women of color experienced contraception in the 20th Century, and a Master of Public Administration degree from New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.

Kelvin Isom

Kelvin acquired his JD/MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, specializing in international and public policy. Having served in the Military and a plethora of board leadership positions, he developed uncanny adaptive thinking and a capacity and passion for continuing to learn. Kelvin enjoys immersing himself into new cultures/countries and participating in various adventurous outdoor activities. Kelvin believes that people are the most valuable resource, and therefore creating that interpersonal relationship is vital for flourishment in organizations. Over the past decade he has taught in Pittsburgh Public School, volunteered to read and speak to elementary schools and mentor youth. He believes these fundamental steps provide the additional male presence, support and development some students lack to solidify direction in his community. He is the founder of The Kelvin Isom II Impact ScholarshipFund as well held event seminars geared toward financial budgeting, family investments and general financial literacy advice as millennial’s and young families. He will strive to develop a program that facilitates and educates impoverished and underrepresented communities with legal and financial subjects as it relates to long term sustainability. A champion promoting equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion for all in the workplace, Kelvin highly values the protection and enforcement of everyone’s civil rights, especially regarding employment and a clear understanding of their rights and obligations. I am Kevin Alton Founder /CEO of The Way Organization a mentoring company serving young African American males in Pittsburgh Brashear High School which helps young men navigate through school as well as life after they graduate and go into the real world we sit and make plans for the next step although they change through the years it’s good to get them to just start thinking about what they can possibly become I also am the Founder/President of the Bears Youth Athletic Associaiton which is a Youth Football and Cheerleading Program for youth ages 5-14 on the South Side of Pittsburgh I have a wife Charis and two children Nyla age 10 and Kevin 2 age 6 which is the main reason why I take this work I do so serioius a lot of these young men I work with come from broken homes or single parent homes where they don’t get as much love as others but through my program everyone gets the same love and respect showed to them I’m teaching these young men to be kings

Kimberly Francette

Kimberly Lynne Francette is a wife, mother and proud grandmother. At a young age, she attended the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy where she earned high honors leading to a scholarship to their teacher’s program. After passing her boards, Kim became a cosmetologist and a cosmetology teacher. She helped inspire many cosmetologists through her apprenticeship program. She and her husband Allan have owned a successful barber/salon in Swissvale since 1999. After 21 years as a hair stylist, in 2015, Kim decided to pursue a new career with New York Life Insurance and Financial Services Company. In a very short time, she has been the recipient of the Career Success Award, the Career Producer Award, the Centurion Award and Centurion Premier Award. She also reached the status of Executive Council and Executive Premier Council. In 2016, 2018 and 2019, Kimberly received the companywide New York Life African American Ambassador Award and the Case Paid Leader Award. In 2019, Kimberly started the Francette Insurance Group, LLC. She also creating her own program Life after High School and has begun teaching financial literacy to high school students. Kimberly was also the recipient of the Pittsburgh’s Courier 2019 Women of Excellence award Lastly, she sits on the Board of Directors for Greater Valley Community Services and Hammonds Initiative. Kim has devoted her time, experiences and finances to helping them make a better community. Her vision and mission are to lift as she climbs, to empower the community and those who aspire to reach their true greatness.

As Managing Director, Communications, and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Kristen is the organization’s senior-most communications expert, managing a comprehensive strategy designed to strengthen MacArthur’s reputation, the impact of the organizations it supports, and the communities they serve. Kristen puts storytelling at the center of all of her work and is committed to identifying compelling narratives that amplify individual and collective voices. She manages a portfolio of programs, including the Chicago Commitment and 100&Change. Prior to joining MacArthur, Kristen served as Director of Corporate Communications at the global public relations agency Golin. Kristen developed strategic communications campaigns that enhanced the brand reputation and relevance of corporate and nonprofit clients, including Dow, Humana, Hyatt, and YMCA of the USA. She also provided strategic counsel, oversaw issues management, and crafted executive-level thought leadership for clients. Previously, Kristen worked as Director of Media Relations for the Cook County Health & Hospitals System, where as a member of the strategy and external affairs team, she raised awareness and credibility for the system as a medical provider, healthcare plan operator, and safety net institution. As Deputy Director of Public Affairs and Communications, Kristen developed and implemented a public affairs strategy that advanced the agenda of Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle. Earlier in her career, Kristen was a City Hall reporter for the Chicago Tribune and political writer for the Washington Post and Houston Chronicle. Kristen received her bachelor of arts from Emory University and her master’s in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley. Mack serves on the Board of Directors of Global Glimpse, a nonprofit that provides transformative international travel and leadership opportunities to high school students from diverse backgrounds. She also serves on the Advisory Council of WBEZ Next.

Kwane Watson

Kwane is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He purchased his first practice a year after graduation. The practice tripled in revenue in less than 5 years and was the largest dental practice in West Louisville. In 2007 he started a high end de novo practice, but soon realized his passion was serving the working class and underserved population. He also has experience in commercial real estate, franchising, and other entrepreneurial endeavors. With 20 years of dental experience, Kwane has sold both practices and has now stepped outside the box and is the founder and CEO of Kare Mobile. Kare Mobile is a compact mobile dental platform that provides comprehensive dental services for all socioeconomic demographics with a focus on providing access to our community. Kwane plans to expand Kare to a national brand by licensing his unique mobile dental model to providers nationally. Kare is not solely a service provider, it also has several patents filed that will aid efficiency and data compilation for the dental industry. Kare is a leader in the mobile oral health care industry and looks forward to positively impacting oral health in the US.
