She sits on the committee of the CLT community Land trust, which helps combat gentrification. Saloam’s burning desire to teach businesses how to build, understand & leverage their overall financial well-being is what lead her company to become the T.A. (technical assistant) for the URA’s micro fund loan. With over 20 plus years of financial education, it’s safe to say Saloam was shaped and molded for financial wellness.
Samuel Lennon

Samuel Lennon, Jr. is a devoted husband; a proud father of four; a native, current resident, and engaged community member of Baltimore; and an accomplished entrepreneur. His engaging personality, humbly confident attitude, and leadership savvy has allowed him to excel in both his personal and professional endeavors. Sam is the founder and CEO of L2 Defense, Inc, a technical services firm supporting the Defense and Homeland Security markets. Starting the company in 2012, Sam has grown its staff to seventy full time and nearly two hundred part time employees with offices in Baltimore; Jupiter, FL; and San Antonio, TX. L2 Defense was named to Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies list in 2017, 2018, and 2019; and was named the #1 Fastest Growing Private Company in the Baltimore Metropolitan area in 2018 by the Baltimore Business Journal. In 2019, Sam was recognized by Ernst & Young as an Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist for the Mid-Atlantic Region. Prior to L2 Defense, Sam was a successful Black business executive in the Defense Systems industry, an industry with few people of color in leadership positions. Sam graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Sam is active in the Baltimore community, leading and supporting a number of grassroots community initiatives. His community engagements include career exposure for teens and programmatic support for the homeless and military veterans. He is a diehard fan of Baltimore and its culture, history, and people.
Sarida Scott

Sarida Scott is a program officer for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. As the lead program officer for the Detroit office, Scott specializes in the area of employment equity for the communities of Detroit. Prior to joining the foundation, Scott was executive director of Community Development Advocates of Detroit (CDAD), where she led the advancement of their policy and strategic positions, managed fundraising and oversaw day-to-day operations. During her tenure, CDAD increased membership by more than 50%, developed a neighborhood project garnering over $250,000 in community mini grants, developed Detroit’s first online interactive community map, and raised more than $1 million for 2019 organization operations. Prior to this, Scott served as chief program officer for Michigan Community Resources, legal director for Michigan Community Resources and assistant corporation counsel for the City of Detroit Law Department. She has also served as an adjunct professor at University of Detroit Mercy and the University of Michigan Dearborn. She has received a Ford Motor Company International Fellowship, Detroit Revitalization Fellowship and Center for Community Investment at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy Fulcrum Fellowship. She has also taken part in the Harvard Business School Young American Leaders Program and Harvard Business School Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management Program. Scott earned a bachelor of science in engineering from the University of Michigan and a juris doctor from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley.
Sharnay Hearn Davis

Sharnay Hearn Davis is a dedicated professional and servant leader. In her various roles, she has proven her ability to successfully develop relationships and collaborate with diverse groups of stakeholders; community members, faith-based leaders, foundation and nonprofit executives, and elected officials. She has significant experience developing programming and providing high – level reports and analysis on program performance to senior leadership. Mrs. Hearn Davis holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Slippery Rock University. While at Slippery Rock she studied abroad at the University of Buea in Cameroon, studying women and gender roles in Africa. She completed a Master’s in Community Leadership from Duquesne University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. She currently serves as the Community Liaison and Special Assistant to the President and CEO of the Forbes Funds.
Sheena Hancock

Sheena Hancock is the owner and lead designer at Sheena Hancock Interior Creations also known as SHIC. She is a wife, mother, and native of Pittsburgh, PA who’ve always had a genuine passion for interior design. Over a period of 16 years, Sheena would often take on small residential decorating projects for family and friends. During this time, she also served in the U.S. Air Force and earned a Bachelors in Sociology from Carlow University and a Masters of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. Sheena has worked in a variety of fields ranging from law enforcement to life insurance. However; after five successful years in the insurance business; Sheena still felt a lack of fulfillment in her daily work. Always being mindful of her love for interior design and natural eye for style; Sheena sought out to become certified in interior design and decided to leave the corporate industry for good. In November 2017, SHIC was founded. To date, Sheena has designed and decorated several residential and commercial projects in the Pittsburgh area. She is dedicated to bringing an innovative passion, hands on focus and deliver the highest standards of excellence to every project. Her goal at SHIC is to curate on trend yet timeless spaces that are reflective of the client’s taste, needs, goals and lifestyle.
