Paris K. Wilson is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to nonprofit management. He received his B.A. from Michigan State University and recently received his M.P.A. from the University of Baltimore. Paris has always had a knack for helping others and exhibited it as an out-of-school time educator in his hometown of Detroit and in Baltimore where he enhanced his skills to serve more individuals in education, nonprofits, and governmental agencies. As a graduate student, he Paris began his own enterprise called, The Standard Consulting Firm, where he is passionate about assisting minority-owned nonprofit organizations become more competitive for grant awards by offering technical assistance training that includes grant writing, grant management, program development, and program evaluation. In addition to his entrepreneurship, Paris also taught as a Writing & Rhetoric Adjunct Professor for the University of Baltimore. After spending six years in Baltimore City, Paris is returning back to his hometown of Detroit to make a positive impact within the city to continue championing for nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies by utilizing what he learned in the classroom into practice. Paris’ life’s mission is to improve the quality of life of vulnerable communities in the City of Detroit through service, community development, and voter advocacy.
