Rashad D. Thomas is the Vice President of Business Connect and Legacy Projects for the Miami Super Bowl Host Committee. In this role he is responsible for identifying and connecting South Florida’s local diverse business community to contracting opportunities related to Super Bowl LIV. Mr. Thomas, is a Bethune-Cookman University graduate, has served in various capacities in Miami-Dade County government for 16 years. He began his career with Miami-Dade County as a Community Organizer and has held several positions in Miami-Dade County government focused on community and human services. Prior to his role at the Super Bowl Host Committee, Mr. Thomas served in the Miami-Dade County Mayor’s office as an Assistant to the Deputy Mayor where he was responsible for policy, legislative affairs, and special projects for a portfolio including Public Housing and Community Development, Community Action and Human Services, Homeless Trust, and Juvenile Services. Mr. Thomas, is also an entrepreneur and the owner of three mobile concession bistros. You can always find his bistros at the park where he coach’s football, basketball, and t-ball. Rashad is a Bethune-Cookman University 40 Under 40 2018 award recipient, South Florida Legacy Magazine 40 Under 40 2018 award recipient, South Florida’s 50 Most Powerful and Influential Business Leaders of 2019 and a 2018/2019 finalist for the FIU Emerging Leader award. A Miami native, Rashad is married to Shannon Thomas and the proud father of three boys. Rashad is proud to be a part of the Super Bowl LIV Host Committee.
